Join Smokey Bear's Reading Challenge

Celebrate Smokey Bear's 80th birthday with Smokey Bear's Reading Challenge! Learn about wildfires and the environment! Read books! Win prizes! And remember ... only you can prevent forest fires!

To participate in the challenge, pick up a log, read three books* about forests, wildfires, or the environment, and complete the challenges on the back. We have stickers for all completed logs, and a drawing for prizes. (*Adults, we have reading options for you - articles, audiobooks and podcasts count!)

In the Children's Room, we're going on a Bear Hunt. Find all the varieties of bears on our scavenger hunt list, and receive a small reward.
