January 15, 2018
Make it a Day On, Not a Day Off!
- 200 incredible volunteers planted 1500 native trees and shrubs to impact stream health and improve habitat diversity along Hedges Creek.
- 9 yards of mulch was installed to provide nutrients and give plants a healthy start.
- Biggest Bucket Brigade ever moved the moved the mulch one bucket at a time.
- Volunteers came from Target, CUI, Portland Waldorf School, West Linn NHS, Sherwood Key Club, Field Scouts, Intercambio, REI, PSU, PCC, Americorps, Tualatin High School Key Club, TuHS AVID, and Tualatin citizens and families.
- Thank you to our community partners: Friends of Trees, Clean Water Services, Just Serve and Hands On Portland.
Thank you to City Staff: Ryan Flett, Brian Smith, Miguel Gonzalez and Jace Rode for preparing the site and engaging volunteers!
