The City of Tualatin has begun construction of the future improvements to enhance safety and provide pedestrian and bicycle improvements along Herman Road from Tualatin Road to 124th Avenue.
Overview
The project will provide pedestrian and bicycle improvements along Herman Road from Tualatin Road to 124th Avenue. This project will add sidewalks, restripe bike lanes, and provide roadway improvements such as street lighting and stormwater treatment. More information is included in the downloadable fact sheet (in English and Spanish), including a map of the project location and detour route.
What’s Planned?
Project improvements include:
- New ADA compliant sidewalk on the north side of Herman Road.
- Widening the street to include bike lanes along both sides of Herman Road between Tualatin Road and 124th Avenue.
- Installing street lighting improvements to enhance safety.
- Constructing stormwater upgrades to protect water quality and prevent flooding.
- Repaving the roadway and adding a center turn lane for business access.
When?
Construction will occur between May – December 2023.
