Building Tualatin's Future: Funding
How Would the City Pay for this Project?
This project would require a bond to be approved by Tualatin voters. The total bond for a Civic Center next to the Police Department and an expanded Library would be $24.3 million. The total bond for a Civic Center with leasable space on the Commons and a Library Expansion would be $32.1 million not including rental revenue. Depending on which alternative the community would support, the tax increase for the average homeowner would be approximately $36 to $58 per year over 20 number of years . The Tualatin City Council is seeking community input as they consider adding this to the November 2016 ballot for the voters to decide.
