City Council Proclaims September 15 - October 15, 2022, Hispanic Heritage Month in Tualatin
On Monday, September 12, 2022, the Tualatin City Council proclaimed September 15 - October 15, 2022, Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Tualatin. Read the full proclamation in Spanish and English below.
City Councilor Maria Reyes read the proclamation and said "It is with great pride that I read this. I believe it is the first time that we are reading a Hispanic Heritage Month Proclamation, so I'm really excited about it. I'm very proud of my City."
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year in the United States by celebrating the culture, heritage, and countless contributions of those whose ancestors were indigenous to North America as well as those who came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
The City Council encourages all residents to celebrate our unique and vibrant history and recommit ourselves to a shared future of healthy, peaceful, safe, and sustainable communities for all.
