Council Building Alternatives
If Seneca Street is extended, it will require the City Council to make a decision about the future of the Council Building, as the realigned street requires demolition of the building. The Council has studied some alternatives for a possible relocation of the Council Building which include the options presented as part of a detailed Feasibility Study presented at the July 22, 2013 Work Session.
Other Alternatives
Other alternatives have been considered, but not studied in the same detail as those in the feasibility study. These alternatives include a larger building on City property adjacent to the Police Department or adding a second story to the existing Library and City Offices. You can learn more about the other alternatives by reviewing the City's Outreach Presentation from October/November 2013.
