Mayor's Note (August 2023)
Every few years, we ask residents of Tualatin to complete a survey that asks a variety of questions about the livability of our community. Questions range from safety to economic health, from transportation to our parks and trails. Our partners at the National Research Center take the results and compile a statistically valid report that tells us how we are doing.
The 2023 Tualatin Community Survey will be the fifth time we have conducted this survey since 2010, allowing us to measure how and why resident attitudes change over time. We will also be able to compare our scores against over 500 other cities across the United States that have taken the same survey to see how we stack up. In 2020, our high scores on utilities led us to receive the National Research Center and International City/County Management Association Voice of the People Award.
When you are asked to complete the survey this year, I encourage you to set aside a few minutes to think critically about our community and share your feedback.
