The new Veterans Plaza at the Lake of the Commons is coming together beautifully. If you have not had the chance yet, I highly recommend taking a late summer stroll around the lake or bringing the kids to the splashpad—you will see the progress firsthand. The large basalt stone features and the outline of the reflection pool are already in place, giving you a glimpse of what the final Plaza will look like.
As a veteran, this project is especially meaningful to me. With construction continuing into the fall, there is still plenty of time to make Tualatin’s Veterans Plaza your own by ordering a customized brick to honor a veteran or family member. It is a special way to leave a lasting tribute and create a deep connection to our community. You can pick up order forms at the Juanita Pohl Center or print them from the City of Tualatin Parks & Recreation webpage.
