Mayor's Note (September 2023)
Recently, I received a message from nine-year old resident Jonathan Hill who was concerned that his grandmother had to sit on the ground to watch him practice basketball at Ibach Park because there was no bench close by to sit. He asked if we could put a bench in so people would have a place to sit by the basketball courts. We worked with Jonathan and our Parks Department staff and were able to install a beautiful bright red bench next to the basketball courts. Thanks to Jonathan and our Parks team, we have added a valuable space for people to watch basketball or take a break and enjoy the park. I loved hearing from Jonathan, and would love to hear from you!
