Tualatin Is An Inclusive City
In the Council's 2030 Vision, one of the goals is that Tualatin is
"A Diverse and Inclusive Community Where Everyone Has Equal Access to Opportunities In Order to Thrive And Enjoy A High Quality of LIfe."
This vision is also supported by the vision set forth in the community plan, Tualatin Tomorrow, which identified the need to "facilitate connections between diverse cultures" and to establish a "task force to develop and sustain outreach to our Latino and other diverse members of our community".
The Tualatin City Council identified that working in this area of community engagement- to broaden and strengthen our connection to all voices in our community is extremely important. To that end- they've adopted both a Unity Statement, as well as an Inclusive City Resolution; both of which identify Tualatin as an open and welcoming community.
The Council as well as City Staff are also forming a working Diversity & Inclusion group that will begin meeting monthly to discuss this topic and how the City & Council can better serve everyone in Tualatin, ensuring everyone's voice is heard, and that everyone feels safe and welcome.
