1.) Who is this program targeted to?

This program is for Tualatin residents with children who require childcare up to the age of 16.

2.) What childcare providers offer this program?

Any participating registered Emergency Childcare Provider in the municipal limit of Tualatin.

3.) What is an Emergency Childcare Provider?

A special designation by the State of Oregon that allows registered childcare providers to operate under COVID-19 service orders.

4.) How much is the scholarship?

Scholarships are up to $1,000 per child per month up to a maximum of three months. A limit of two scholarships per household.

5.) Where can I find an application?

You may get one from your childcare provider or on the main program page of the ChildCARES Scholarship on the City of Tualatin's website.

6.) I have more than two children, can I break up the award between those children?

No. The scholarship is only two maximum per household for the identified children.

7.) May I receive this month and pay the childcare provider?

No. The City will pay the childcare provider directly on behalf of the awardee.
