March 8, 2014, Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Atfalati Park
Saturday, March 8, 2014, 110 enthusiastic volunteers attended a planting excursion in Atfalati Park. Volunteers came from Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Tualatin High School Key Club and National Honor Society, Hands on Greater Portland, and 40 Fullbright Scholar students representing 30 countries.
Approximately 1,100 native trees and shrubs were planted on the Saum Creek stream bank.
Thanks to our partners and sponsors Haggen’s, Friends of Trees, and Clean Water Services. The Oregonian also came out to report on the event.
