Boones Ferry Rd at Avery Street

Starting Tuesday, April 30, The contractor will be installing a new traffic signal pole on the southwest corner of Boones Ferry Rd and Avery St to accommodate a short right turn lane for eastbound traffic on Avery St turning right to head south on Boones Ferry Rd.  While the road will remain open to traffic, travel space will be narrowed and signal operations revised during construction.  Expect delays 7am-4pm for the next couple of weeks.

Martinazzi Ave Sewer (Avery St to north of Sagert St)

Construction is planned to start in June to install a new sewer main under Martinazzi Avenue from Seminole Trail (north of Avery Street) to north of Sagert Street and repave this portion of Martinazzi Avenue and Sagert Street in the area of the recent traffic signal project and east to the Sagert St bridge over Interstate 5.  Martinazzi Avenue will be closed from Sagert Street to Avery Street for sewer work this summer.

Tualatin-Sherwood Rd and Nyberg St from Martinazzi to I-5

The permanent pavement markings have been installed along eastbound Tualatin-Sherwood Road and Nyberg Street, and in the Cabela’s and Fred Meyer driveway approaches to Nyberg, to help drivers more easily see what lane to be in.

67th, 68th Avenues and Sagert Street

The contractor has installed the remaining raised curbing and posts to provide a separate walkway/ bikeway on the Sagert Street bridge. 

Sagert Court Paving

Construction is planned to start next week to pave Sagert Court, a currently unpaved cul-de-sac south of Sagert Street, west of Boones Ferry Road

Tualatin- Sherwood Rd (from Teton Ave to Sherwood)

Washington County’s contractor is adding travel lanes and pathways along Tualatin-Sherwood Rd from Teton Ave west into Sherwood.  They are also building a new 66” water line to carry Willamette River water to Beaverton, Aloha, and Hillsboro. They recently shifted traffic to the south side of the road and are now doing excavation and utility work along the north side of Tualatin-Sherwood Road for the widened roadway and pathway.

Pavement Patching and Manhole Repairs

The Public Works Department is coordinating contractors removing and replacing areas of deteriorated pavement, and repairing deteriorated sewer and stormwater manholes around the City. 

Cipole Road Railroad Crossing Replacement

A contractor for Washington County has repaved the railroad crossing on Cipole Road (just south of Herman Road).

Teton Ave Rail Crossing (Between Avery and Tualatin-Sherwood Road)

A contractor for the railroad plans to close Teton Avenue at its railroad crossing (between Avery Street and Tualatin-Sherwood Road) to replace the railroad crossing Friday July 7th to Monday morning July 10th.

Herman Rd (Tualatin Rd to Teton Ave)

The contractor is working along the north side of Herman Road connecting the irrigation system and doing final cleanup.

Plambeck Gardens - Boones Ferry Rd south of Norwood Rd

A developer is constructing the Plambeck Gardens affordable housing complex on the east side of Boones Ferry Road south of Norwood Road and south of Horizon Church. 

108th Avenue (Tualatin Rd to Leveton Dr)

A contractor for Lam Research is building frontage improvements along 108th Avenue in conjunction with development on the Lam Research site.

Reservoir and Pump Station at Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Site

The City has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a professional Engineering firm to design a new reservoir and pump station at the aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) site in the Ibach neighborhood.  This will provide additional water storage and service capacity for the southern part of Tualatin.
