Mayor's Note (May 2021)

Frank Bubenik Headshot

On April 26, the City Council declared May 2 - 8 as Public Service Recognition Week to honor our employees. City employees contribute significantly to the quality of life in our community.

Through my time on the City Council, I've had the opportunity to get to know many of our staff and see firsthand the tremendous work they do. It's a lot! There's a huge diversity of skills required to run a city. We employ librarians, engineers, arborists, mechanics, accountants, and so many more that work collaboratively to provide services. Our employees share a commitment to excellence and immense care for the Tualatin community.

I imagine many of you have come into contact with city employees at one point or the other - perhaps while checking out a book, paying a utility bill, or at one of our signature events. In our last community survey, 84% rated the quality of services provided by the City as excellent or good, and 87% rated the overall customer service by Tualatin employees as excellent or good. I'm proud of our employees and it is clear the community is too.
