Nov 24 is Small Business Saturday
On November 24th, the City of Tualatin celebrates our local small businesses and the contributions they make to our local economy and community, by supporting and promoting Small Business Saturday!
According to the United States Small Business Administration, there are currently 28.8 million small businesses in the United States. They represent 99.7% of all businesses in the United States and are responsible for 63% of net new jobs created over the past 20 years. In Tualatin, small businesses (100 employees or less) account for 97% of all businesses and 60% of all employees.
On average, 33% of holiday shopping will be done at small, independently-owned retailers and restaurants and 76% of all consumers plan to go to one or more small businesses as part of their holiday shopping.
Tualatin supports our local businesses that create jobs, boost our local economy and preserve our neighborhoods. We urge residents of our community, and communities across the country, to support small businesses and merchants on Small Business Saturday and throughout the year.
If you have questions about Small Business Saturday, please contact Jonathan Taylor, Economic Development Manager by email or at (503) 691-3049.
