April 5, 2014, Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Browns Ferry Park
Lewis & Clark College students "Spring Into Action"
Saturday, April 5, 2014, 18 Lewis & Clark College students supported their school's annual "Spring Into Action" program and the City of Tualatin.
Students were led by City employees Jace Rode and Ryan Flett and recently nominated Elder Volunteer of the Year Dave Skoglund. Together, they planted 225 native trees and shrubs in an area that had been cleared of invasive ivy in September 2013 by Lewis & Clark student volunteers.
Because these students powered through the project, they had time to clear other areas of invasive ivy in preparation for future planting.
Thank you all for your wonderful efforts!
