DIG IN for Spring / Summer |
Volunteer in a garden. The City has several garden spaces where you can play in the dirt, smell the roses and create a green space for the community. Jurgens Park Community garden beds will needs adoption from May to September. Weed, water and give some TLC to this learning garden available for all to enjoy. The City offices Rose Garden needs a volunteer to trim roses and occasionally weed the bed. All the roses are new this year and we are hoping for a spectacular gift of fragrant flowers. We will provide "rose garden training" if you just want to learn about these beautiful flowers.

TUALATIN COMMONS LAKE PARK |
Everybody loves the Lake - even the waterfowl! Want to help us scoop the poop? Often times we can't keep up with the waterfowl enjoying the Lake. Please don't feed the ducks and geese frequenting the Lake. We will provide a tour of the site, a history of the Lake, tools and guidance. |
TUALATIN COMMUNITY PARK | Hunt down litter at TCP. We will supply the gloves and litter grabber. You pick the hour or two and take a walk in the park while making an impact on the environment. |
BROWN'S FERRY PARK | Chop and drop invasive Himalayan blackberry and English ivy all over the park. Take your pick of locations. Bring your gloves and wear long pants and sturdy shoes. We will meet you for a tutorial on the best methods and locations. |
IBACH PARK | Remove invasive ivy along Hedges Creek at the back of the park. This shady path is getting ready for some new plantings and the ivy has to go. |
JURGENS PARK |
Adopt - a - Garden The community garden will be planted and watered by Hazelbrook AVID students in Spring 2024. This is such a beautiful and educational garden for the community. Stop by and sample the variety of herbs and succulents that grow all year long.
|
LITTLE WOODROSE PARK | Give this shady nature park a hug by removing weeds along Boones Ferry Road, raking trails and removing invasive English ivy. We will meet you for a tour and talk about the needs of this peaceful park. |
SAUM CREEK TRAIL | We are getting ready to plant along the trail spring 2023 and need to remove storm debris, chop & drop blackberry and do some previous planting site care. Pick your project and we will get you started. |
TUALATIN RIVER GREENWAY TRAIL | Choose litter pick up or to chop and drop invasive plants. We will meet you for a walk and talk about the needs of the trail from the Tualatin Library to Nyberg Rivers Shopping Center. |
COMMONS POINT | Remove ivy and litter from this tiny triangle park at the entrance to the City. Try the project one time or commit to a little more. Your choice, let's take a walk and view the site. |
SWEEK POND TRAIL | This shady trail is a nice loop or a shortcut over the bridge and wetlands to the shopping center. Take a walk and pick up litter to keep our wetlands and green spaces clean. |
FIRE HYDRANT PAINTING | Everything you ever wanted to know about fire hydrants - What they do? How we maintain them? Why we paint them? Take a walk and make the hydrants shine with a new coat of paint. All materials and guidance provided. Great fun for families, friends and groups. |
