January 20, 2014, Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Ibach Park, MLK Day of Service
On this sunny Monday, January 20, 2014, 130 amazing volunteers attended a planting excursion in Ibach Park. Volunteers came from Kaiser Permanente, THS Key Club, Americorp, SAIF Corporation, CUI, Tigard HS Key Club and the City of Tualatin.
Approximately 1,400 bare root trees and shrubs were planted in 90 minutes. The volunteers attacked the many invasive Himalayan blackberry and English ivy plants as well.
