May 8 - 9, 2014, Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Tualatin High School Biology Students
The study of human impact on the environment...
Engaging students, enhancing the environment, building citizens!
Thursday and Friday, May 8-9, 2014, 580 Tualatin High School students enhanced their study of human impact on the environment by field work in the Chieftain / Dakota Greenway and water quality facility.
These engaged students braved the rainstorms to extract 15 yards of invasive English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, Holly, Reed canary grass and Hawthorne to prepare the area for planting and mulching.
The 5 inches of rain that fell did not dampen the enthusiasm and energy that students, teachers and City staff put into the project!
