Tualatin High School Biology Students Chieftain Dakota Outfall

Students impact water quality and forest diversity.

  • 300 Tualatin High School biology students participated in maintenance of the water quality facility that collects water from 110 acres including their school.
  • 8 yards of plant material was removed, 200 native trees, shrubs, rushes and sedges were installed.
  • TuHS students have volunteered at the Outfall since 2013, planting native trees and shrubs, mulching and removing invasive Himalayan blackberry, Reed canary grass Morning glory and English ivy.
