Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Arbor Day
Put Down Roots in Tualatin:
Arbor Day
April 11, 2015
Volunteers are TREEmendous!
104 incredible volunteers planted and mulched 900 native trees and shrubs including Ninebark, Nutka rose, Douglas fir, Sword fern, Choke cherry, Salmonberry and Red alder.
Mayor Lou Ogden planted the Heritage Tree, a Dawn redwood, with Cub Scout Troop 721.
Volunteers came from Key Knife, Girl Scout and Brownie troops, Boy Scouts, Tualatin High School students, families and citizens of Tualatin.
Thank you to Haggens for providing great snacks!
