Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Earth Day
Put Down Roots in Tualatin:
Earth Day
April 18, 2015
Record setting Bucket Brigade!
115 incredible volunteers mulched 2500 native trees and shrubs with 15 yards of mulch, forming a bucket brigade that went downhill, over two creeks and back uphill. They held the brigade for 1 1/2 hours to complete the task in record time.
Volunteers came from Scout troops #35 and #530.
Tualatin High School students (Biology students especially) came out in great numbers! Families and citizens of Tualatin completed the roster of great volunteers.
Thank you to Haggens for providing great snacks all season long!
