Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Hedges Creek
Put Down Roots in Tualatin:
Hedges Creek
May 2, 2015
Neighbors Unite!
· 20 neighbors came together to plant 225 native trees and shrubs along Hedges Creek that runs through their neighborhood.
· Lady fern, Fringecups, Oregon ash, Vine maple, Snowberry, Thimbleberry, Yellowtwig dogwood, Salmonberry, Oregon grape, Swamp rose and Western red cedar were planted to replace invasive Himalayan blackberry and provide soil stabilization and shade.
· The City of Tualatin thanks the Seib family for their love of Hedges Creek, their efforts to be good stewards and for recruiting their friends and neighbors to make a positive change in stream health.
Thanks to the Seib family who has the vision to grow neighborhood stewardship of Hedges Creek!
