Put Down Roots in Tualatin, Hug a Tree!
Put Down Roots in Tualatin
HUG A TREE! Brown’s Ferry Park
October 11, 2014
Volunteers are TREE-mendous!
- 62 amazing volunteers came out to plant and mulch 500 native trees and shrubs and they removed 5 yards of English Ivy from the stream bank of the Tualatin River.
- Volunteers came from PCC, Lasalle HS biology class, MicroSoft, Horizon Christian, UPS, Girl Scout Troop 40020. Tualatin HS Key Club, Tualatin HS NHS and citizens of the City of Tualatin.
Thank you to City staff, Ryan Flett for leadership at this event.
Kudos to our Volunteers of the Year, Andrew Evans and Dave Skoglund and to Crew Leaders Chris Newcombe and Matt Chapman for bringing their expertise to the day!
