Tualatin Town Center Plan
A plan to guide development in Tualatin's downtown area.
Background
Initial planning began in 2004 and concluded in 2005. The Council accepted the Town Center Plan, but put adoption on hold.
In February 2008, the City Council reviewed the Town Center Plan and affirmed the following vision:
- Includes a mixed-use living, working and playing environment.
- Oriented to and integrates the Tualatin River and other natural features to activate uses.
- Distinctive feel with strong, interesting and distinctive design standards and elements.
- Includes civic, social, commercial and cultural functions as a full-service community within walking distance.
- Encourages safe bike and pedestrian activity.
- Destination for local business activities and not a pass-through location for freight traffic.
