Maintenance Services
The Maintenance Services Division is responsible for fleet maintenance, facility maintenance, and inventory control services. This includes preventative maintenance, repair, alteration, and utilities services for all city-owned buildings, parking lots, and equipment.
Fleet inspects, maintains, and repairs all types of city equipment. Currently the fleet consists of 78 pieces of rolling equipment, in addition to 92 smaller pieces of equipment used by the utility and park maintenance crews. Fleet maintenance also provides services for other city and state agencies such as Oregon State Police (OSP), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), City of Sherwood, King City, City of Hillsboro and the City of North Plains. All outside agency work is fully reimbursed.
Facilities Maintenance provides direct, as well as contracted, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and custodial services for 36 city buildings (including more than 99,000 square feet) and 29 parking lots with approximately 1,182 parking stalls.
Inventory Control and Central Stores are also under the direction of the Maintenance Services Division. The Inventory Control Coordinator (ICC) catalogs, ships, receives and stores Operations supplies, as well as items for other departments. Over 9,200 orders pass through the warehouse annually. The ICC maintains the Hazardous Material Data Information Systems (MSDS) for all products used by the city. City records storage and maintenance are also provided through the Inventory Control Coordinator.
This division of Operations is staffed by 1 Maintenance Services Manager, 1 Fleet Technician II, 1 Fleet Technician I, 1 Maintenance Services Technician I, 1 Inventory Control Coordinator and .5 Shop Assistant.
