Tualatin’s Community Climate Action Plan

Banner that reads "Tualatin is taking climate action."

The City of Tualatin is committed to climate action. From wildfires, smoke, and consistently hotter summers to more frequent heavy rainfall events, we have begun to experience the effects of human-caused climate change right here at home. These changes can impact our way of life, including our health, our ecosystems, and our businesses.

By taking action, we can prepare for and respond to these changing conditions (this is called ‘adaptation’) to protect our friends, family, and neighbors, and also take steps to reduce our fossil fuel emissions in order to prevent an even more drastic change in climate conditions (this is called ‘mitigation’).

Through this effort, we are joining our neighboring cities, like Tigard, Beaverton, and Milwaukie, and others throughout the state, country, and world to tackle climate change.
