Streetlight Outages
How to Report an Outage
If you see a street light that is not functioning properly please contact Portland General Electric (PGE) at 1-800-544-1795 (press "3") or through PGE's online reporting tool.
You will be asked for a nearby address or cross the street as well as a map and a pole number, which can be found on the pole itself on a small metal tag at eye level. A description of these tags can be found at the bottom of the PGE Outage form linked above. The map and pole number is not required but will help PGE find the right light and respond more quickly.
staying on top of streetlight outages
City maintenance crews conduct a periodic inspection of all streetlights within the City of Tualatin, driving the streets at night ensuring that all street lights are working properly. If there is an issue with a street light it is then reported to Portland General Electric (PGE) who is responsible for the maintenance of the majority of the street lights in the City.
Since we cannot drive all the City streets at night on a regular basis we rely also on residents to notify us when lights are not working. This helps us catch lights that fail between inspections. Use the instructions above to report an outage. With your help, we can ensure our streetlights are properly working!
