Street Sweeping Program
The Street/Sewer/Storm division maintains a regular maintenance schedule for monthly street sweeping, This division is responsible for sweeping over 76 miles of streets within the City of Tualatin. The City's street cleaning program removes dirt and debris from City streets to provide a healthy, safe, and attractive environment for the citizens of Tualatin. Regular removal of leaves and debris that accumulate naturally in the road is necessary to prevent stormwater drains from clogging, which can result in street flooding. Street cleaning protects water quality and minimizes the burden on the sewer system from surface debris.
Property owners are responsible for disposal of leaves and yard debris from private property. Leaves and other debris can not be blown in the street for the sweepers to remove. This is prohibited under Tualatin Municipal Code Section 6-1-210 (4) Dumping Garbage and is not part of the Street Sweeping Program.
Check out Tualatin's Street Sweeping Map to determine the day your street will be swept. If you have issues regarding our street sweeping program, you can contact Bert Olheiser, Street/Sewer/Storm Manager.
