Winterization and Fall Clean-Up
As the winter seasons nears, it also initiates many changes in the services provided by the Operations Department. Some of these changes in services include:
- The interactive Crawfish water fountain at the Commons Lake will be closed for the season.
- Light pole banners, hanging flower baskets, and other flower beds have been removed.
- All outdoor public drinking fountains will be shut off to protect them from freezing.
- Ibach Park, Browns Ferry Park, Jurgens Park, and the Commons Lake restrooms will each have one restroom remain open for the winter.
- Tualatin Community and Atfalati Parks restrooms are closed completely, each with one ADA accessible restroom. TCP is located at the east end near the tennis courts and Atfalati's are located at the west end of parking lot.
- Decorative lights are being strung in the trees around the Commons Lake in preparation for the holiday season.
Leaf clean-up continues for all of us so be sure to keep streets, gutters and catch basin grates clear of debris to reduce urban flooding problems. If you have questions and would like to speak to someone in the Public Works Department, give us a call at 503.691.3091
