Before you start excavating your next project, be aware that you may need need to seek professional assistance. Professional archaeologists have access to restricted information about archaeological sites and
are trained to identify, analyze, and document these resources. You may need to hire an archaeologist to help comply with state and federal laws, see Archaeology Bulletin 1 and 4 below for additional information.
