Sandbag Program
Using sandbags is a simple and effective way to prevent or reduce flood water damage. Properly filled and placed sandbags can help to divert water from entering a building.
The City of Tualatin offers free, self-service sand and bags for the Tualatin community. If you are in need of sandbags, please visit our sandbag site at the Tualatin City Services site (10699 SW Herman Road, Tualatin, OR 97062). You will find a large pile of sand and bags in the northeast corner of the parking lot (indicated by the yellow star on the map above).
Please bring a shovel and at least one other person to help you fill bags. It is recommended that you fill each bag between one third (1/3) and one half (1/2) full to prevent bags from getting too heavy, and to allow for bags to be stacked with a good seal.
A list of other sandbag sites in Washington County can be found here.
