Food For Fines
If you have any overdue library fines, now is the time to start getting your account in order, and all you will need to bring is a can of food*.
The Food for Fines campaign allows Tualatin patrons with overdue fines to donate canned goods in exchange for fine forgiveness.
For each two donated items you bring in you will receive a one dollar voucher to redeem against overdue fines, up to a maximum waive of $10.00 per account.
We are encouraging all our patrons to participate in donating even if you do not have fines on your account. These vouchers will be issued for an account up to a maximum of $10.00. These vouchers can be used to waive fines at any time prior to their expiration within six months of their issue date.
The library's annual Food for Fines program starts March 21 and goes through March 29, 2020.
The Tualatin School House Pantry is excited to partner with the library as March is the month donations fall to their lowest levels all year.
Donations need to be in factory sealed packages and unbreakable containers. No glass jars please.
Most needed items are:
· Peanut butter
· Cereal: hot and cold
· Canned pasta and hearty stews
· Meat: canned tuna, chicken, turkey, roast beef and even Spam are popular!
· Powdered laundry detergent
· Any hygiene products, such as shampoo, toothpaste, and bar soap
*Maximum waive of $10.00 per card holder.
