Make It at the Library
Makerspace Open Labs
The Makerspace will be open for anyone who wants to check it out and use some of our equipment to make cool projects. Room assistants will be available to guide you in the basic use of our provided tools. For more information about the Makerspace, see here. Open Labs are held on the following weekly schedule:
- Saturdays through May, 10:00 AM - noon and 3:00 - 5:00 PM
- Saturdays from June through August, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Sundays, 1:30 - 5:30 PM
- Tuesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
- Thursdays, 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Each month the Makerspace will have a featured theme with projects everyone is invited to try. We'll supply the materials, tools, and instructions. Come in and work on your project during Open Lab hours!

Super Saturday
Join us on the first Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM for SUPER Saturday! Whether creating a new masterpiece, building amazing feats of engineering, or exploring something completely new, you're sure to have a blast! For kids in grades K-5. Registration is recommended but not required. Held in the Community Room.

Fiber Arts!
Are you a knitter? Do you crochet? Is weaving your passion? Join us in the Makerspace the second Thursday of each month (March 9, April 13, May 11) from 6:00 - 7:30 PM for conversation and crafting. All skill levels welcome.
LEGO Maniacs
Calling all LEGO fans! Click with brick expert Molly for more exciting LEGO challenges. She provides the LEGOs, you just come with your engineering ideas! For kids in grades 1 through 5. Held from 2:00 to 3:30 PM on the second Saturday of the month (March 11, April 8, May 13) in the Community Room.
Crafternoon
Come to Crafternoon, featuring a great new craft every month! Join us at 4:00 PM on the third Wednesday OR catch the repeat at 2:00 PM on the fourth Saturday. For kids in grades K to 5. Registration is recommended but not required. Held in the Makerspace.

Art Studio

Try a different style of painting each month in our Art Studio! You can use the materials in the Makerspace, or feel free to bring your own materials if you like. Don't forget to bring your creativity! For ages 15 and up. Registration is required; do that here. Takes place in the Makerspace from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on the third Thursday of the month. Free.

Origami
Make paper creations with the Portland Oregon Paper Shapers! Challenge yourself with a complex origami masterpiece, or keep it simple while learning the basics. For all ages. Held in the Community Room from noon to 3:00 PM on the third Saturday of each month: (March 18, April 15, May 20).
Clothing Repair Fair
Losing your change through holes in your pockets? Have a pair of pants that are just too long? Come to the Makerspace from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 10 and have our volunteers show you how to repair your clothes and keep them out of a landfill. For ages 12 and up.
