No More Overdue Fines

Tualatin Public Library, along with all other Washington County libraries, has eliminated overdue fines!

We will no longer charge for overdue materials, and if you had overdue fines they have been removed from your account. You can now use your WCCLS library card online or at any Washington County library location.

WCCLS made this change because our libraries are for everyone, and as part of WCCLS, Tualatin Library shares in the mission to serve all residents of Washington County and Tualatin – equally, affordably and with easy access. Studies have shown that overdue fines most severely impact communities of color and/or with lower incomes, and don’t significantly promote the timely return of library materials.

Patrons will continue to be billed replacement fees for ALL materials that are never returned, or are lost, or damaged.

¡Los Servicios de Bibliotecas de la Cooperativa del Condado de Washington (WCCLS, por sus siglas en inglés) eliminaron las multas atrasadas! Ya no cobramos por los materiales atrasados, y todas las multas atrasadas en su cuenta han sido eliminadas.
