Parenting and Mental Health
Join us in the Library Community Room on May 18 at 1:00 for a four-hour workshop detailing ways you can support your child in these modern times. Hear powerful stories from other parents and youth. Gain support and discover resources. Learn hands-on practical tools you can use with youth. Presenters from NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) of Washington County, author Tara Rolstad, and staff from Tualatin Tigard School District will bring resources, stories, and more.
This event is in support of Mental Health Awareness Month. Since 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has been addressing the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions. Mental health journeys are unique, but the strength found within them is universal. For more local resources, check out this list of books and resources for children, teens and their parents.
