Tax Filing Help with Oregon Department of Revenue

Ready to file state and federal taxes, and need an expert helping hand? Representatives from the Oregon Departmnt of Revenue will be here on March 19 from 1:00 to 5:00pm to guide you through using the IRS's Free File and Oregon's free tax filing software.

Participants should see if they qualify for free filing using the IRS's Eligibility Checker. The Oregon Department of Revenue recommends that participants have online accounts with the IRS and with Oregon's Revenue Online before the event.

We will have some space and computers available for reservation during this event. You are also welcome to bring your own device for filing and reserve a space. To reserve space, call the Information Desk at 503-691-3072. Drop-in help may be available.

Participants should bring the following documents:

  • Social security card or individual tax identification number for everyone on your tax return
  • Government picture ID for taxpayer and spouse if filing jointly (driver's license or passport)
  • Forms W-2 (wages from a job)
  • Forms 1099-G, 1099-R, 1099-INT (other income)
  • Form SSA-1099 (Social Security benefits)
  • Canceled check or bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit
  • Last year's tax return
