Mock OBOB Battle -- Grades 3 to 5
Registration is full is for the 4pm session.
The Tualatin Public Library will be hosting our first Mock OBOB Battle. We have four timeslots. During each time slot, two teams will battle through 2-3 practice rounds competing against each other. Please register as a team for only one time slot. The purpose of this Mock Battle is to allow students to get used to the rules, set-up and structure of an OBOB Battle, so they are prepared for official battles. The focus will be on practice. All five team members will be allowed to compete at this session (four team members, plus the one alternate). We will not be allowing challenges to a moderator’s ruling.
The event is during Winter Break, so we understand that some families will be traveling during this time. Please check-in with your families to ensure that enough students will be present at the event to compete. There is no minimum number required, only that your students are comfortable competing against another team.
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time slot, so we have a few minutes to get you checked in. Since we are using un-published OBOB questions from another library, we ask that no one record the event.
If you have any questions, please contact Lauren Simon at lsimon@tualatin.gov or 503.691.3077.
Free for Grades 3 to 5 in the Library Community Room.
