Dragon Theater Puppets brings two shows of fun and laughs for all ages. Both are free and held in the Community Room.

Thursday, December 21

2-4 pm: Are you in grade 6 through 12? Do you think you have what it takes to be one of Santa's elves? No? Well,our Santa's Elf Training Course 101 is the perfect class for you! Join us at the library and learn all the basic skills required to become one of Santa's helpers. Registration is required (register here). This is a class for beginning elves ONLY. Please wear appropriate festive attire! Held in the Community Room.

OMSI programs Dec 27 Bats and Rollercoasters

Wednesday, December 27

OMSI visits us with two hourlong sessions of learning fun. Both are free and are held in the Community Room.

  • 11 am-noon: For kids in grades Kindergarten through 3, Going Batty introduces one of the most intriguing animals on our planet: the bat. Practice using a mist net like a field biologist, explore the physics of sound, and learn about everything batty! Registration is required, do it here.
  • 1:30-2:30 pm: Kids and teens in grades 2-8 can try out their engineering, physics and design skills to create their own marble rollercoaster in Rollercoaster Madness! Registration is required; do it here.

2-5 pm: Teens, join our Mario Kart Tourney and have a blast showing off your racing skills in our along the epic tracks of Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Switch! We provide the game and system; you provide the fun! Prizes for the top 3 racers! Snacks for all. For students in grades 6-12. Registration is recommended (do it here). Held in the Teen Room.

11am-noon: Get ready to sing and dance to all of your favorite songs at Noon Year's Eve! The Awesome Possum Party Band is a new, feel-good family music project from Oscar Murden, formerly with the band Micah and Me. We'll perform fun, upbeat originals and songs that your kids know and love from their favorite movies, all while celebrating the new year! All ages. Held in the Community Room.
