Tualatin City Services Building
Updated on April 28, 2021
The finishing touches are currently being made to the new Tualatin City Services building located off SW Herman Rd and SW 108th. This facility brings together approximately 50 employees from the Public Works Department, Community Development Department, Parks Maintenance Division, and Municipal Court.
The new 9,500 square foot facility adds capacity to the existing 5,000 square foot structure providing adequate space for staff now and into the future. In addition, sustainable design was incorporated throughout to reduce the environmental impacts.
The Tualatin City Services building is open on a limited basis to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. Precautions have been put in place for employees and the public to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained.
Project Funding:
The total cost for the project is approximately $8 million. This includes the costs for the architect, general contractor, project manager and construction. The project will be paid for through a combination of existing one-time available funds and a loan.
Project Timeline:
The City Council first directed staff to begin planning in 2018. Design of the building was completed in the first quarter of 2020 and construction began in the second quarter. Construction was substantially complete in March of 2021.
