Tualatin Community Park BBQ Shelter Revitalized
The popular BBQ area at Tualatin Community Park has been completely revitalized with brand-new equipment and an upgraded shelter providing year-round protection. The area had been deteriorating over the years and its aging infrastructure had become a safety hazard, with the roof structure needing to be removed for safety purposes last year. Thanks to the Park Utility Fee, the community is now able to enjoy this beloved area for many years to come, complete with a beautiful contemporary structure and four brand-new charcoal BBQ's.
Warmer weather is the perfect opportunity to head outdoors to enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. If you're planning to visit Tualatin Community Park to utilize the new BBQ area be sure to utilize the ashcan located in the shelter to dispose of cooled ashes properly.
And always keep these safety tips in mind for a fun and safe experience when barbecuing in a park:
- Portable grills may be only be used on firm, flat, heat-resistance, non-flammable surfaces away from hanging branches and other flammable objects.
- Keep small children and pets away from the area when in use.
- Bring utensils with long handles to prevent burns and spatters.
- Never leave a lit fire unattended.
- No wood-burning fires.
- Have your recipe ready to go, as the delicious scent of your BBQ will no doubt tempt other park visitors!
Following these tips will ensure delightful memories and delicious treats are shared with your loved ones, safely.
