Updates & Announcements

Additional information about the renovation projects listed on this page can be found in the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The plan was adopted in 2019 and will provide guidance for parks, recreation facilities and programs meeting community needs through 2035. The plan is a result of an 18 month process that included community engagement of community members sharing their ideas. Check back often for updates on these Master Plan projects.

Parque Las Casitas Construction

Parque Las Casitas, or Las Casitas Park, will be under construction from February 12th to winter of 2025. Formerly known as Stoneridge Park, the new Parque Las Casitas will feature a brand-new playground, basketball court, and spray pad. During construction the park will be fenced off, and there will be no through-access. Parking in front of the park is prohibited.

Riverfront Park Property Acquisition

The City of Tualatin Parks & Recreation department recently closed the sale of a 2.79-acre property on the Tualatin River, next to Tualatin Community Park. The land was purchased using the 2022 Parks & Trails Bond, as well as a contribution from Metro’s 2019 Parks and Nature Bond. This property, along with the three acres next to it, will be developed into a new riverfront park and trail, with the aim to provide a safe place for the whole community to access the river.
