Arbor Month Kids Poster Contest 2025

Arbor Month

Attention Young Artists: Arbor Month is an annual celebration of trees that happens for the entire month of April. Each year the City of Tualatin hosts an Arbor Month poster contest for all children grades K-8. This year, kids are invited to participate by creating a piece of art sharing their love and knowledge of trees.

Kids will create their own theme by filling in the blank: “Tualatin Trees  _______________”. Kids should think about the importance of trees and fill in the blank with what trees mean to them. Themes could express how trees provide habitat for wildlife, clean the air and provide oxygen, provide shade, create beauty around us, or make us feel calmer and happier.

Poster Contest Rules:

  1. All entries must be original artwork created by a child in grade K-8.
  2. One entry per person.
  3. Participants should complete the phrase “Tualatin Trees are ____________” and create a poster based on that theme. The phrase should be included on the poster.
  4. The contest will be divided into three categories:
    • Grade K-2
    • Grade 3-5
    • Grade 6-8
  5. One winner from each category will be chosen and each winner will receive an Arbor Week prize package, be recognized at a Tualatin City Council meeting in March, and their winning posters will be shared on social media during Arbor Month.
  6. Posters can be submitted through the form below. Deadline to submit is March 1, 2025.
