Share the Love Call to Artists
The City of Tualatin is seeking talented glass artists to contribute their creations to Share the Love.
ABOUT SHARE THE LOVE
Share the Love is an annual event where hand-blown glass hearts are hidden throughout the City of Tualatin's parks and trails. Residents and visitors search for these hidden treasures as they explore the natural beauty of Tualatin. The finders can keep the heart as a reminder of their love for their city or Share the Love by hiding the heart for someone else to find.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We invite glass artists to submit their proposal and samples for consideration in creating these hand-blown glass hearts.
Up to three artists will be selected to produce hearts for the 2025 Share the Love event, with a combined maximum budget of $5,000. Artists are encouraged to showcase their creativity and expertise in designing pieces. Finished hearts should be 3-4" in diameter, in a variety of colors, and include the City of Tualatin logo stamped on one side. Quote should include delivery to the City of Tualatin.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Proposals should detail the number of glass hearts to be created within the budget, along with estimated dimensions, and a photograph of past work. Artists are also required to produce two sample hearts, mailed to the address below.
TIMELINE
Submission Deadline: (Including receipt of heart samples) June 1, 2024
Notification of Artists no later than June 15, 2024
Complete heart order due: December 31, 2024
HOW TO SUBMIT
Complete the form below and attach a digital upload of samples of your work. Uploads must be 10MB or less, in .jpg or .pdf format.
Artists must provide 2 heart samples to demonstrate their skill and style. Sample heart submissions do not need to include the city logo.
