Car Into McDonalds; One Person Injured
On Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at approximately 9:45am, Tualatin officers responded to a report of a car into a building at the McDonalds Restaurant, 19200 SW Boones Ferry Road, in Tualatin.
The sedan was being operated by an elderly female driver, 86 years of age, of Tigard.
As the driver was pulling into a parking space, she mistook the gas pedal for the brake, which caused the car to drive into the side of the building. The impact caused minor structural damage to the building wall and inside seating. One person who was sitting inside the restaurant received minor injuries and was transported to Meridian Park Hospital.
The restaurant remained open for business.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No citations were issued.
