Man Arrested After Assaulting TriMet Bus Driver
On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at approximately 5:50am, Tualatin Police responded to a report of an assault on SW 65th Avenue and SW Borland Road, in Tualatin.
When officers arrived they learned that a transient male had been found sleeping in the bus shelter by a TriMet bus driver. The bus driver asked the male suspect to leave the shelter. A short time later, the male suspect asked the bus driver to provide transportation for free. When the driver refused, the suspect punched the driver in the eye and knocked him to the ground.
The male was located a few blocks away and taken into custody. He was identified as Mr. Song Sushumna Landis, 24 years of age. Mr. Landis was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail and is being charged with third degree assault and interfering with public transportation. He has also been trespassed from all TriMet property. A booking photo can be obtained from the Clackamas County Jail.
Nothing further at this time.
