New Driver Crashes Into Building in Tualatin
On Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at approximately 1:00pm, Tualatin Police responded to a crash involving a car into a building at Diamond Auto Sales, located at 18435 SW Pacific Hwy., in Tualatin.
When officers arrived they determined that the driver of the vehicle, a red 1999 Toyota Corolla sedan, failed to properly negotiate a turn into the business parking lot and drove into the building. An employee of the business was working in the corner office when the car ran into the building. The employee was transported to OHSU with non-life threatening injuries.
During their investigation officers identified the driver as a 20 year old female who has a driver’s instruction permit. The driver and her passenger were not injured in the crash. The driver was issued a citation for careless driving.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered to be factors in this incident.
