Prevent Package Theft This Holiday Season
Cyber Monday offers the convenience of online shopping and home delivery. However, package delivery brings some risk. There are some important things to consider to prevent theft:
Dishonest thieves search for easy grab-and-go items with the possibility that the package might contain high dollar merchandise they can resell on the black market.
These criminals often follow delivery drivers along their routes and pick up the packages not long after they’ve been dropped off.
Tualatin Police recommend making alternate delivery arrangements if you can’t be home to accept the package. Other methods could include delivery to a work address, designated postal facility or asking a neighbor to accept delivery.
Don’t let criminals put a damper on your holidays; protect your packages by planning ahead.
