Traffic Enforcement Detail Results
The Tualatin Police hosted a four (4) hour traffic enforcement/education detail on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 between the hours of 8:30am and 12:30pm. During that time the Tigard and Sherwood Police Departments assisted Tualatin Police with the enforcement.
The detail focused on seatbelt use, cell phone use, failure to obey traffic control devices, unsafe/un-signaled lane changes, speeding, and misuse of continuous left-turn lanes. Enforcement efforts took place in various locations throughout the city. The effort was to focus on education through enforcement.
A total of 39 traffic stops were made throughout the event, resulting in 27 citations and 13 warnings being issued.
Tualatin Police encourage drivers to remain vigilant and to obey Oregon traffic laws.
