Tualatin and Tigard Youth Coalitions Talk Marijuana
Raising awareness about the effects pot has on our youth
Tualatin Together and Tigard Turns the Tide are partnering to help educate communities around the harms of youth and marijuana abuse through an educational event on Monday, April 7th. This event provides an opportunity for youth and parents to learn about the evolving marijuana environment and how recreational usage can affect our children’s health and future.

WHY: The Harmful Truth About Marijuana and Our Youth - Please join us as we discuss the issues surrounding the evolving marijuana environment, the potential legalization of recreational marijuana and how the youth in our communities are affected by marijuana abuse.

Tualatin Together is a group of community members with diverse backgrounds focused on the prevention of youth drug & alcohol use and abuse. Our goal is to unite the community to engage, educate and advocate for Tualatin’s youth and families to make healthy decisions. In collaborating with local, county and state partners we focus on enhancing and supporting a community environment that discourages and reduces youth substance abuse and promotes factors that protect Tualatin Youth
About Tigard Turns the Tide
Tigard Turns the Tide (TTT) is a community coalition working together to prevent drug and alcohol use among Tigard's youth. TTT partners with local law enforcement, the City, Washington County, local businesses, civic organizations, parents and community members to change the attitudes and perceptions surrounding alcohol and drug use, creating a safer, healthier and supportive community for youth to live and grow.
